Next, here’s a nice option to relax on a rainy day and try something a bit different.

A Trip to the Emerald Pool, Hot Springs, and Tiger Cave Temple

emerald pool krabi

The Emerald Pool, Hot Springs, and Tiger Cave Temple are super famous in Krabi. They’re surrounded by green trees and nature, so it’s good for everyone – even kids. Don’t worry if it rains. Actually, light rain makes it feel nice and calm. Sitting in warm water while it rains a little is really relaxing.

Here’s how the trip usually goes: Emerald Pool (about 1.5 hours from Ao Nang)

There are two parts:

The first part – the emerald pool – is for swimming. You can chill in the cool water, play around, and take fun photos.

The second – the blue pool – is blue clear water, perfect for walking and taking photos (about 800 meters). You can’t swim here, but it feels fresh when it rains a little.

Hot Springs

Just 15 minutes by van from the Emerald Pool. Warm water comes up from the ground and flows over rocks and tree roots. There are several natural pools with different depths. It feels like a natural jacuzzi. The walk there is short and shady, easy for everyone. Rain makes it even more peaceful.

Tiger Cave Temple

The temple has 1,260 stairs – super tiring and slippery if it rains. If you don’t want to climb, you can just check out the temple below. The shady spots and the architecture are nice, and it’s cool and relaxing without the stairs.

Both places are popular, but rainy days make them quiet and peaceful. Good for strolling and enjoying nature without the crowds

Best Way to Travel

From our experience, here are the options:

Option 1 – Standard Group Tour
The typical choice is a van tour with up to 12 people, picking you up from your hotel around 8 AM. There are two main types:
A. Half-day tour – includes Emerald Pool, Hot Springs, and Thai buffet lunch
B. Full-day tour – adds the Tiger Cave Temple climb

Option 2 – Private Trip
We have two private options:

1st is the classic choice with a private van – a half day or full day with a private van, including the Emerald Pool and Hot Springs, with or without a visit to the Tiger Cave Temple.

The 2nd option is the Vibe style.
It’s more fun on a rainy day because you don’t have to climb the 1,260 steps to see the view, and you can enjoy the water spots at a relaxed pace.

Here’s how we do it.

Start the day with a wow moment – instead of climbing the tiring Tiger Cave Temple in the rain, drive to a short and easy scenic viewpoint. Take a short walk, enjoy the views, and sip a fresh fruit smoothie. Super chill and relaxing.

Next, head to the water spots – the Emerald Pool and Hot Springs. You can soak in the water, enjoy the rain, and relax in nature. It’s usually quiet on rainy days since there aren’t many people.

Finish the day with a relaxed meal – instead of a classic buffet, we’ll suggest a restaurant that fits your style. Thai or Western food, all good. (Restaurant meals aren’t included in the private trip.)

This makes the Emerald Pool and Hot Springs trip a good choice for anyone who doesn’t want to miss a trip on a rainy day but still wants to enjoy nature and make the day fun and full of great experiences.

In the evening If you’re hungry or don’t know where to go,you can try going here

The Landmark Night Market
Open from 5 PM to 11 PM, this market is an easy pick on a rainy evening because it has covered areas where you can walk around without getting soaked. Grab some grilled seafood, hot noodles, sweet snacks, fresh fruit, or a drink – hot or cold. There are also handmade items, little fashion finds, and souvenirs to check out. It’s not the most exciting plan, but it’s a nice spot to enjoy some food and a cozy vibe.

And if it’s raining and you want to relax somewhere cozy, We recommend stopping by Vibe Cafe and Travel Hub. Enjoy a warm drink and take a break from the rain. The drinks here is really good – we especially recommend the hot chocolate. It’s honestly so good and perfect for a rainy day.
